Chairman of the Board of Directors
He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pilgrim Africa an International Not for Profit organization serving the people most vulnerable in Uganda. He is a Journalist by training, a visio onary, charismatic, social entrepreneur, and has led Pilgrim into areas such as the relief, trauma counselling, and resettlement assistance of internally displaced Ugandans; extensive work in the area of community health and malaria eradication; and basic community development such as schools and education. In addition to the previous efforts, Pilgrim operates with a view towards the future of Uganda, and has conducted significant research and development of biodiesel and other sustainable rural technologies. He brings to the board dynamic leadership and fundraising experience.

He is also the Ag. Retail Director, Barclays Bank Uganda limited. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Makerere University Kampala, and currently pursuing ESAMI/Maastricht Execut tive MBA program. His background and immense experience is invaluable to the Organization especially in matters of financial management and oversight

He is also currently the Legal education and training advisor- South Sudan field program office- International Development law organisation. He has received several academic honours; a a visiting lecturer at several Universities, has written and published extensively in a wide array of issues and has presented in a multitude of local and international fora. He has been a consultant with local and international organizations like HURINET- U, GTZ, DANIDA, among others. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph D) from University of Cambridge; a Master of Laws (LL M), University of Cambridge; Diploma in Legal Practice (Dip LP), Law Development Centre; and Bachelor of Laws (LL B)(Hons), Makerere University Kampala. He has a wealth of experience working with Government agencies and many international organizations. He has vast experience working on many national, regional and international issues and brings with him vast intellectual experience to the Board.

He is a member of the Board of Directors and currently the Chief of Party-Zambia Institutional Reform Program, a USAID funded program. Prior he held the position of Chief of Party for the Anti Corrupti ion Country Threshold Program in Uganda. He has published on governance and anti corruption issues. He is currently Pursuing a DPhil Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University South Africa; holds MA in Development Studies from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University Port Elizabeth South Africa, Advanced Diploma in International Human Rights from University of Lund Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights Lund Sweden; Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre Kampala Uganda; and a Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University Kampala Uganda. He brings to the Board extensive governance and anti Corruption experience.

He currently is the Executive Director of Peace and Security Institute in Africa (PSIA). He has previously worked as a Director Institute of Security Studies (ISS) in Nairobi, Asst Commissioner Law Reform m Commission in Uganda, He holds LLM (Summa Cum Laude) in comparative public law and good governance, Utrecht University, Netherlands (specialising in trade and good governance law); Bachelor of Laws Degree, Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda; Post-graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, Law Development Centre, Kampala. He brings to the Board over fifteen years experience in law and policy reform, harmonisation of laws, legislative drafting, legal advisory services, ratification and domestication of treaties, trade negotiations, regional integration, peace support operations, peace building, conflict management, good governance and democracy, human rights, human security, conflict transformation and management, development of framework agreements, institutional development, project planning and management, resource mobilisation, civil society empowerment, training, research, and humanitarian law.

Currently Mr. Sean also serves as the Director of External Relations for Pilgrim Africa. He brings over a decade of experience in global nonprofit and corporate communications, public relations, resource   development, and executive nonprofit leadership. With a degree in Philosophy, and Masters-level course work in Theology and Counseling, Sean has led communications and advocacy initiatives on multiple continents, working with executives, political leaders, and globally engaged philanthropists.
